Samuel J. Hanna was born in Wichita, Kansas, but spent his childhood in Thailand where his parents were missionaries. He graduated from Grand Valley State University in Michigan with a Bachelor’s in History and Political Science before spending another four years in Thailand teaching English. He now works as a geotechnical driller’s assistant back in Wichita. His passions include history, linguistics, space travel, and sailing ships.
